Original artwork description
This work depicts a small corner of the old town, inviting us to look in two directions, and perhaps upwards too at the glorious blue sky. It is a work rich in detail and realism, full of delicious pastels and primary colour. Aix invites us in, invites us to smell its scents of pine, of roasting coffee and the tang of wood smoke. The canvas is 0.4 inches deep and can therefore hang without the need for further framing if wished. A perfect souvenir of France.
