Bold, textured sunflower oil painting with a palette knife on 10" x10" x 0.5" MDF board. Another one and as you know - sunflowers - one of my favorite subject. I painting a few similar Countryside Sunflowers, and each turned unique and different. I love to paint sunflowers following examples of many impressionist masters of the past, using thick texture and different sizes of palette and putty knives to create expressive brushstrokes with complementary vibrant colors and stylized look of post-impressionism style of painting.
