Agde is located on the River Hérault, 4 kilometres (2 miles) from the Mediterranean Sea. It is the Mediterranean port of the Canal du Midi. Founded by the Greek in 525B.C it is one of the oldest towns in France.
This painting was made on location in 3 sessions just before sunset in autumn. It represents old houses on the left bank and fishing boats along the quay. The artist paid special attention to their reflections in water. It is ready to hang and sold with a certificate of authenticity.
