I wanted to capture a quiet summer afternoon — a fleeting moment where a girl lies peacefully on the grass, bathed in soft sunlight. She becomes one with nature, immersed in silence. This painting is more than a depiction of a scene; it’s a poetic reflection on tranquility, solitude, and the ephemeral beauty of youth.
I used impasto and energetic, rhythmic brushstrokes to express the flickering light and the motion of the grass. The color palette emphasizes strong contrasts between warm and cool tones — especially the highlights of sunlight on her skin and white dress — to create a warm, fresh ambiance. Her posture is intentionally relaxed, lending the painting an emotional authenticity rooted in everyday life.
