That day, sunlight streamed through the curtain, dust danced in the air, and everything felt silent and warm. I wanted to capture that fleeting but intimate moment — the merging of sunlight, plants, the old sofa, and the quiet passing of time.
I used thick oil strokes and loose brushwork to emphasize the play of light. Warm browns and golden hues dominate the palette to evoke the gentleness of afternoon light. I wasn’t after realism, but a memory — that sense of quiet afternoons we all carry within us.
