There is a beautiful arts and crafts house and garden near my studio called Standen. It has beautiful Morris & Co interiors and is set in a hillside garden. Run by the National Trust and a group of dedicated volunteers it is a real community effort.
This painting captures the view of the vegetable garden and beyond. New hedging had just been planted by the volunteers and this forms part of the composition.
