This post fauvist oil painting has a corrosive feel - it is beautiful in a acidic way, the bright luminosity of the colours could equally express creation or destruction. It could be a fantastic forest or a burnt out apocalyptic wood. Either way the far colours are burnt out by the light and the near colours gleam lie emeralds and precious stones in the cool refuge of the remaining autumnal chestnut leaves.
