The quiet after a recent rain sets the stage, revealing a landscape transitioning from stormy to tranquil. A vintage convertible and a solitary figure by an ice machine evoke a nostalgic, timeless scene. This blend of elements invites viewers to contemplate the subtle beauty of in-between moments, imbuing the space with depth and introspection. This artwork depicts a serene desert setting, centered on a classic ivory convertible parked beside a modest gas station. The sleek lines of the car evoke nostalgia, while a solitary figure, casually leaning against the station, adds a contemplative mood. The sunlit landscape, with distant mountains and a mirror-like body of water, emphasizes both isolation and tranquility. The juxtaposition of the car with its natural surroundings invites reflection on travel, solitude, and the passage of time, making this piece visually captivating and introspective. Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam and Italian canvas tm Unico were used. The finish is satin varnish, and the ends are painted in the background color. Part of the “Life in Avatar” series, it is created on and shipped on a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame. The painting is packed in a cardboard box with bubble wrap. The artwork is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
