Bog land covers expanses of the flat Irish Midlands and is often worked to extract turf.
In this painting, I created a view of the bog, waterlogged after the rain, with Croghan Hill in the distance.
The atmosphere is soft and contrasts with the rich dark colours of the bog.
The mood is calm and gentle, rather peaceful.
