Aetherius Reverie Caeruleus is a painting that challenges the very concept of painting itself. I created this piece using an image generated with artificial intelligence, which I then transferred onto the canvas through a process that involves almost no traditional paint. Instead, I worked with gesso, pressure, and erasure, allowing the image to partially disintegrate in the transfer.
The result is an ethereal, ghostlike figure that appears to emerge from and dissolve into the canvas. Subtle textures and hints of blue pigment enhance the sensation of fragility and impermanence.
This is not just an image—it's a disruption. It’s a meditation on presence and absence, on the boundary between the digital and the physical, and on the possibility of creating emotional resonance through minimal material intervention.
