'Adventurous tree' may at first glance appear to be a simple landscape.
However, it can also be playfully viewed as a figurative piece, where the tree plays the central character. The tree exudes personality: it's branches reach out enthusiastically, absorbed perhaps in a subtle and discreet dance.
In the background stands the Scottish hill Bennachie. A focal point, a cathedral, for the North East, it has observed and engaged the world from a volcanic youth, through Neolithic and Pictish periods, to the roar and bustle of the currents age.
