This work is part of the “Sunsets of My Hometown” series. This piece was painted from a photo I once took on my way home. The sea water was at its warmest, having absorbed the sun’s heat throughout the day, while the evening air had already cooled down, making it easier to breathe. A pleasant freshness settled in. And the sunset was so beautiful that it was impossible not to admire it — impossible to walk past without stopping. That’s exactly what we did, just like the other people whose silhouettes you can see in the distance. And I invite you as well to pause for a moment, take a deep breath, and feel the calm, the joy, and the incredible delight of watching the sun go down.

My work here is a single copy of my unique and original handiwork. It is made on special, high-quality 100% cotton paper designed for watercolor from the world’s best manufacturers and has a density of 300 grams/meter.
