Arriving at the studio that day, I honestly felt nothing. The canvas looked distant, like it was waiting for someone else. I mixed the first blues almost out of habit, slow, a bit annoyed. Then something shifted, a small streak dried in a way I didn’t expect, like a pulse. And suddenly I was inside the work, fully. I forgot the clock, forgot lunch, forgot everything except the motion of my hand moving color across surface. It felt like being carried more than deciding.

In Adagiati, the blues spread softly, creating a quiet foundation where the ochre and pale tones rest in slow layers. The touches of yellow are slight, almost hesitant, like thoughts that appear and drift without pressure. Nothing here demands to be recognized, yet everything feels familiar, like a shape seen in the corner of the eye, or a memory you can’t quite explain. The painting sits gently, not trying to impress or convince. It simply allows space for the viewer to sink into it, to rest with it, to be held for a moment.
