Original artwork description:

Absolutely one of a kind, this is an on location landscape study in watercolor. Painted "en plein aire" in 1991 as part of a painting trip in the Sonoran Desert. The viewpoint from the Arizona border looking into California, with the Chemehuevi Reservation in the distance. The chimney like rock formation in the far distance can be seen for many miles, from all directions. Between the ridges of the desert runs the Colorado River. It's an astounding landscape that seems to repaint itself with every change in the light.
A 16 x 12 inch watercolor on Arches Watecolour Paper from an Arches block.

Materials used:

watercolor, watercolorpaper
