Sculpture on hand-worked Lecce stone, designed and created by the artist Andrea Serra. The sculpture "Caressed by sunset" is presented as an embrace between nature and art, where soft forms are intertwined in a fluid and harmonious dialogue. The artist has wisely chosen a rock with reddish hues, evoking the warm colors of twilight.
The work of this work is entirely made by hand on this stone that is found only in very few areas of southern Italy, namely in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, rich in plant and animal fossils dating back to about twenty million years ago (such as shells, marine plants and shark teeth), makes it suitable for the processing of details. The fossils present are visible on the surface of the work and make it even more unique and fascinating.
The sculpture "la dolce vita" as every work of Andrea Serra, being hand-carved, is unique and signed in engraving by the artist.
