My aim, in my floral paintings, is to capture the vital, energetic beauty of flowers expressed through highly textured palette knife strokes of vibrant colours.

This oil painting presents a bouquet of three vibrant sunflowers painted into an abstract manner in impasto technique with bold, explosive palette knife strokes that create those almost sculptural textures of oil paint that I love so much.

This work is part of my ongoing series ''Flowers on round table''. I started this series of floral still lifes years ago and it is a recurrent theme for me over the time.
