"This painting was inspired by my trip to Cyprus, where I saw a real lemon tree for the first time. Growing up in a northern city, I had only ever seen lemons on store shelves, so lemon trees felt like a true wonder to me. The vivid image of juicy lemons against the blue sky left such a strong impression that I wanted to create a series of paintings on this theme"
