The magic flow reality...
I’ve always been fascinated by the world of dreams — that borderland between reality and the subconscious, where logic gives way to pure imagination. This obsession became the starting point for my new work, which I titled Good Night.
Imagine: it’s the middle of the night, and you’re about to drift off into the realm of Morpheus. But just before you fall asleep, he appears — the King of Dreams. It was his image I tried to capture on canvas. I wanted him to quite literally wish you good night, to whisper, “Sleep now…”, and for his magic to be so powerful that you’d immediately fly into his vivid, wondrous world of symbols and fantasy.
The style I used in this painting is a kind of dialogue between Art Brut and Pop Art. I started with the stark contrast of white on black to evoke depth and mystery, and then, like sudden flashes from a dream, I added bold, chaotic splashes and neon highlights. It’s as if the darkness of night suddenly bloomed with a million sparks and visions.
Painting rolled in a sturdy tube from Thailand – safely and promptly."
