Artist's description:

This artwork is painted in muted colours to aid the sense of serenity.

A peaceful, calm and tranquil place. Lazy summer afternoons spent by the lake. Imagining another time when the pace of life was slower.

A walk by the Lake (at Papplewick pumping station) – is a painting on canvas, done in a style that is reminiscent of the old railway posters.

‘A walk by the lake’ is a view of the Superintendents House across the cooling pond.

This wonderful Victorian building is just one of the gems at Papplewick pumping station.
Enthusiasts sail model boats & yachts on the cooling pond most Sundays.
