Original artwork description
Inspired by the climbs that the Tour de France riders will endure this year. The Col D'Aspin (elevation 1,489 m) is a mountain pass in the French Pyrenees in the department of the Hautes-Pyrénées. The view looks towards the Pic du Midi which has an astronomical observatory on the summit.
The Tour de France has crossed the summit 71 times and the riders will face this climb on the 8th July 2016.
The sides of the canvas are painted so it's ready to hang on the wall. The painting will be varnished with a satin varnish for protection.
