Original artwork description
I made this painting from life during the lockdown of 2020. It is a cupboard filled with a selection of toys from my son’s childhood and adolescence.
He moved in with his girlfriend shortly after lockdown and I missed him although I had more time on my hands to experiment with painting after years of being a printmaker and tutor.
The colourful selection of toys reminds me of his interests, eclectic taste and wicked sense of humour.
