Original artwork description
This work is a visual metaphor for modern trauma, endured in the quiet and supposed safety of a domestic space that no longer protects. The world is split into “before” and “after” — and that line runs just outside the window. A woman sits upright, gazing through colorful curtains at the fire consuming her past. The black cat — like a shadow of her intuition — sits frozen nearby, making escape from the inner voice impossible. The untouched dinner has become a ritual of loss, a pause stretched into infinity.
This scene affects not only visually — it “speaks” to the viewer in the language of the subconscious. Look into your own memory: were there moments when the world collapsed outside, and you froze inside? Collectors who value symbolism and emotional depth will certainly feel resonance in this work.
Dutch acrylic paints Amsterdam tm and Italian canvas by Unico were used. The finish is satin varnish, and the edges are painted in the background color. This painting is created on a pre-stretched canvas on a wooden frame. It is carefully packed in a cardboard box with layers of bubble wrap. The artwork is signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
