Original artwork description
During a trip to the coast I was inspired to start a collection of seascape paintings. "A Secret Cove" is an expression of sea and surf on a quiet afternoon beach combing. I'm always inspired by the coast and the beautiful blues of the ocean, the white rolling surf and windswept sky. I love the sea finding the rhythmical waves very exhilarating always taking a sketchbook to the beach to capture the mood. Painted in mixed media on a deep edged canvas "A Secret Cove" is an original work of art and one of a kind. To create texture I have used some sand from the beach, which I mixed into the paint while I was working. The painting continues round the sides and is ready to hang, a frame is not needed.
