This large portrait study in oil is one of six in my “The Other Side" series. The series is an expression of love and fear through portraiture. In each painting I touch on how we may allow these emotions direct how we interact, and how we can allow choices made based on these feelings can define us, even perhaps in the moment.
A Quiet Place In The Light: Describes my own journey/emotions to a great extent. My journey to a small city in Spain after many years working in a few capitals. My emotions, well I've always believed when painting portraitures you can't help feeding on one's own feelings and experiences to portray believable emotions in the subject.
