A Place To Rest (2025)Mixed-media painting

£234.26

A Place To Rest is a mixed media painting on 12" x 12" reading to hang cradled wood. The first few layers are created with collage papers I have made which are then sanded in sections and layers added and subtracted giving me the texture I am always chasing. These papers are created with acrylic paint, water soluble crayon and acrylic ink. I love using found objects with interesting shapes for mark making to create unusual markings. The final layer is painted with acrylic paint using a silicone wedge and brushes.

READY TO HANG. FRAMING IS NOT INCLUDED.

Materials used:

collage, acrylic paint, acrylic ink, water-soluble crayon
