Original artwork description
I saw this man, perhaps a tourist or visitor, with a pack on his back, make his way to the end of the harbour walls and peer over the edge, cautiously - and with curiosity. I thought it good subject matter for a painting.
This is a small painting, only 30x30 cm, and painted on prepared board. I usually do larger works. But it has a compact feeling and, in it's frame, it looks quite intense. It is good to do some small paintings for a change. I find they take almost as long to do as larger ones. I intend to do more of similar size.
Framed and ready to hang on the wall.
