I painted inspiration from a classic Western film character. In his eyes, I saw more than just grit—I sensed solitude and tenderness beneath the surface. By placing him against a muted, shadowy background, I aimed to make his intense gaze the anchor of the painting, silently telling a deeper story.

I applied bold, textured brushstrokes and scratching techniques to infuse the portrait with movement and age. For the face, I played with strong contrasts, especially around the eyes and lips, where I placed subtle highlights to enhance emotional depth. Cool tones dominate the canvas, balanced by the warm hues of the scarf and skin, to create a striking visual contrast.
