Working from memory and imagination, this triptych shows the passing of the day.
Can you sense the different atmosphere, the light and the coolness we can experience and how they subtly change our perception of the landscape?
Our busy lifestyles often stop us from noticing what's around us, how things evolve imperceptibly and how, before we know it, they are gone.
In the painting, some shapes are immovable and yet they seem to take on a different character and come to the fore or recede in the background depending on the time of day.
This triptych is an oil on deep edged panel, approx 3 x 6″ x 6″ x 1.1/4″ that does not require framing and is ready to hang (the triptych is made up of 3 paintings that work together). They can be hung horizontally or vertically.
