When I was in Sidmouth recently, I spotted this old Lychgate in the churchyard.
It is a traditional historic feature of many English churchyards.
I tend not to paint churches and churchyards, but this ‘jumped out’ when I had my paints with me and warranted some attention.
It measures 8” x 10” (ref: 1770) unframed, it is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
