Original artwork description:

Pencil drawing of two spokeshaves, which are wooden hand tools for stripping wood originally for making wheels. I love the shape of these old tools, one is of pear wood which is both light and very hard wood. I have used them for example in making walking sticks ( of which there is a drawing).I have worked very quickly and created a kind of dark frame and then quickly used an eraser across the whole work to create a layered feel. The piece is somewhat smaller than my other works and is made on the same paper.

Materials used:

pencils, erasers.
