About Volodymyr Tarabanov

Biography

Volodymyr Tarabanov (b. 1962) is a Ukrainian artist known for his refined painterly technique and impressionistic approach to capturing the beauty of the natural world. Currently living and working in Ontario, Canada, his work in landscape and still life painting has earned him a devoted following among art collectors and aesthetes worldwide.
A professional artist since 1979, Tarabanov has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the country. He has been a finalist in several national art competitions, including the prestigious Arkhip Kuindzhi Memorial Prize for Contemporary Landscape. His paintings can be found in both private and museum collections around the globe.
Nature is an enduring source of inspiration in his work. As the artist explains:
“Human beings are meant to live in harmony with the natural world. Our love for nature is imprinted in us at a genetic level. It is only through our connection with nature that we find true happiness and inner balance. When I paint landscapes or floral still lifes, I immerse myself in this dialogue with nature — and in doing so, my canvases emerge as expressions of love, awe, and gratitude. They are filled with a sense of joyful admiration for the wisdom of the natural world, inviting poetic contemplation and quiet reflection.”
