    Good timing this week to be offering my original paintings 'Heat I' and 'Heat II' in my sale on Artfinder with a 25% reduction. I was Inspired to paint these by recent heat maps of Siberia which are very, very scary .... but despite this they do makes a great abstract image! Still looking for Beauty!

    My large 102 cm x 102 cm painting 'Weymouth Beach I' is the 20th painting of the 61 paintings that I have sold through Artfinder that I have dispatched to the USA. It is great to have this continued support from American customers. This one certainly took some packaging up for its journey!

    Spring Show

    I start this years round of Hampshire based public exhibitions with the Spring Show at the Yellow Edge Gallery in Gosport, Hampshire, from 3rd -11th March. I will be exhibiting three of my Hillier Gardens inspired floral paintings as well as a range of limited edition prints and originals on paper.

    Rainforest

    Rainforest

    It has been nice to be evoking memories of the Belize rainforest during dull days in February in the UK this past week! In 1993 I spend the entire of February in Belize ( and briefly Guatemala). It was fabulous as it seemed a really short winter. We visited the Jaguar sanctuary and went looking for Jaguars on horseback... all we saw were fresh paw pints in the mud unfortunately ... still a great memory!

    This week I have enjoyed continuing to be inspired by Sorolla and exploring my photo library, to be transported to the sunny Costa Brava.. whilst remaining in my Southampton studio in cold English February! I have many such similar photos and the truth is I cannot remember the name of the particular village. Lovely yellow ceramic tiled step risers!

    Winchester Mists
