    My studio

    I am very lucky to have a great working environment in my loft studio with two large powered rooflights with solar powered blinds. I can play my old vinyl records and CD's and make as much mess as I like ... and no one cares! I have lots and lots of paintings though.... Make me an offer so I can create some space!

    Abstracting the landscape

    Abstracting the landscape

    This past week I have spent a couple of days on a great course led by Michael Weller at the fabulous Hampshire Art Studio on the bank of the River Dever, near Stockbridge in Hampshire. It has been great to sharpen my painting axe.. working with a limited range of colours and focusing on line, colour and tone. Inevitably mine ended up more impressionistic than abstract .... Seems that I just cannot help myself. However the paintings that I created do have a different quality I feel.
