    I am very pleased to have dispatched my original pastel painting ' Autumn Acer III 'to a purchaser in Arkansas today. This painting depicting my beautiful 'Acer palmatum dissectum' had a near record 90 loves over 9 years or more of being offered for sale on Artfinder and has received masses of attention in Browsers at numerous exhibitions over that period but up to now had eluded that sale! Never ever give up!

    It is the last week of this auction to raise much needed funds for the brilliant Rose Road Association for which I am privileged to act as a trustee.     This week I have been working on a series of abstract paintings using the traditional colours associated with Christmas... green, red, gold and purple. I was thinking that I would have these for home to bring out at Christmas time each year. I do not think that this is a widely adopted practice and wondered if anyone else might be interested?

    I am very fortunate to be able to spend time on the fabulous Isle of Wight at Freshwater Bay, my favourite spot in the unspoilt West Wight. The golden sunsets over the bay this year seem to have been particularly spectacular.

The exhibition is titled 'Breath of Autumn' and will feature around 30 of my Autumn inspired paintings.
