About lysergic

Biography

My name is Valeryia, and I am an artist from Belarus, based in Poland

I work with collage and oil painting. The common thread running through my work is space. Not because I am fascinated by rockets or science fiction, but because space is not something distant. It is quite literally everything we have.

Every conversation, every love story, every loss, every chance encounter happens within this vast darkness. We are so used to this fact that we rarely stop to think about it. Yet I never cease to be amazed that the entire human experience unfolds on a small planet moving through an endless universe.

That is why space appears in almost all of my work. Not as the main subject, but as a reminder. A reminder of scale. A reminder that many things that feel overwhelming today will one day become tiny points in time. At the same time, it reminds us how extraordinary it is that we exist at all.

I am a self-taught artist. I do not have a formal art education, and in many ways that has shaped my creative path. It has been built through experimentation, mistakes, curiosity, and the search for my own visual language.

I enjoy creating works where reality and imagination overlap, and where familiar things appear in unexpected contexts. Through collage and painting, I build new worlds from existing fragments, much like memory builds stories from pieces of experience.

Thank you for visiting my world.
