About Kanika Kingshott

I create original abstract artworks inspired by nature, material, and atmosphere. Using natural fibres, organic textures, and hand-painted papers, my pieces explore calm, harmony, and quiet presence.

Coastal landscapes deeply influence my work. Weathered surfaces, softened forms, open horizons, shifting light, and the gentle rhythm of the ocean. I am drawn to the material qualities of these environments: sand, fibre, layered textures, and the subtle irregularities that speak of nature’s quiet strength.

Each artwork is composed slowly and intuitively, allowing the materials to guide structure and balance. I preserve their softness and variation rather than refining them away, honouring the authenticity of the materials.

My intention is to create work that offers something beyond aesthetics, pieces that feel grounding, restorative, and quietly uplifting. A subtle presence within a space. A small expression of harmony and warmth.
