The painting brings together various elements based on the writings and theories of Hans Hoffman, particulary his colour theory. The painting brings together both organic and structured linework, allowing layers to intermingle and create depth of colour through the combination of colours.

The painting is inspired by various views and glimpses seen in the landscape around Somerset, UK.
