Music plays an important part in painting and it's always interesting for me to see how certain soundtracks contribute to what I create visualy. This painting came as a response to Iannis Xenakis' works playing in my studio in those days. What I find most precious about this particular composer is how he manages to bring mathematic mechanistic models -by their nature abstract and lifeless- into life, make them breath and utilize them for transcendence sake. Hence this semi abstract-semi figurative painting that tackles this very issue.
Oil on thick, acrylic-primed mdf board, coated with gloss varnish for the saturated finish (the glossiness is hard to render on photos, you'll have to see the piece in person:) ) and not less importantly for uv/dust protection
signed and titled on the back of the work
the painting comes professionaly framed and ready to hang!
