I painted "Crimson Silence" as a meditation on contrast between heat and cold, solitude and connection, stillness and quiet movement. The scene is deceptively simple: three humble cottages under a heavy winter sky, the snow deep and blue, the roofs covered in silence. But above them, the sky burns.
The gradient of red to violet was my way of capturing that surreal moment when the sun touches the edge of the world not fully day, not yet night. That time when everything holds its breath.
