Painting on canvas. Diptych, two canvases each measuring 60x60 cm. The painting is a decorative composition of a forest where willows and other plants grow. The style is somewhere between cubism and fauvism, with a tendency towards abstraction. When I was walking through the forest near my native village, where there is a river and many willows, in the water I saw a stump that was already decaying, rotting, I pulled it to the shore. Then I made many graphic sketches and a few oil sketches. These developments became the basis for this composition of nature. It is like the beginning and end of the life of trees, natural botanical forms...
