This pop art style painting depicts a retro toy that I remember from my youth. The wiggly plastic snake toy is made with flexible joints that create a slithering movement when handled, and they were often given out as a cheap toy inside a party bag. They came in a variety of bright colours - here I've gone for green contrasted with a bright yellow background, in my usual pop art style.

I love the idea of turning a throwaway plastic toy into a piece of art that you can keep forever, evoking nostalgia childhood memories. The end result is a bold, bright painting that would brighten up any room in the house.
