The oil painting on canvas, titled "White Wings", captures a poignant moment of childhood wonder set against the vast expanse of the sky. A young child stands on an open landscape, arms reaching towards the heavens, as a fleet of delicate paper planes soars above. The composition, infused with dreamlike colors and expressive movement, invites the viewer into a world where imagination knows no boundaries. The backdrop is a mesmerizing sky that shifts in hues from deep blue to soft twilight tones, suggesting the transition from day to night or perhaps the fleeting nature of childhood dreams. The swirling clouds and subtle gradients give a sense of boundless space, a celestial canvas upon which the paper planes take flight. The sun, rendered in golden strokes, appears almost as a guiding force, illuminating the planes' ascent and casting a glow upon the child below. The paper planes, scattered across the sky, become symbols of aspiration, hope, and limitless possibility. Each one follows its own trajectory, some soaring high, others gently drifting. They represent the dreams we send out into the world—fragile yet full of promise, uncertain yet carried by faith. The contrast between the solid ground and the ethereal sky amplifies the feeling of longing, of reaching for something just beyond grasp. The child, depicted in soft blues and whites, serves as the emotional anchor of the painting. Standing barefoot on a textured surface that resembles a shoreline or an endless field, they embody innocence and determination. Their small frame is silhouetted against the luminous sky, emphasizing the contrast between earthly constraints and the infinite possibilities above. The stance—arms raised, body slightly tilted—conveys both awe and an unyielding belief that anything is within reach. A lone balloon floats nearby, an echo of fleeting childhood moments. Unlike the paper planes, which follow deliberate paths, the balloon seems carried by the wind, a gentle reminder of the delicate balance between control and surrender. It hovers, weightless and serene, mirroring the lightness of dreams. The brushwork is dynamic, capturing both the stillness of the vast sky and the movement of the planes in mid-flight. The artist employs both soft blending and bold, expressive strokes, allowing light and shadow to interact fluidly.
