This is a large, detailed painting which was inspired by A Midsummer Night's Dream and my recent collection with Galleri Melefors. I was really inspired by the image of an ethereal woman lounging in a midnight forest, surrounded by fairies. I wanted her companion to be a large wolf, reminiscent of my recent collection of wolf paintings. He is her guardian, companion and dear friend. This painting holds a bit of mystery and whimsy. It is meant to transport you to another world and capture the magic within that realm.

The painting is made with Old Holland and Schmincke Mussini oils on Belgian linen canvas. It is painted "wrap-around" style, so the painting extends around the edges and is ready to hang as is. It is sealed with Satin Gamblin Gamvar and measures 90 x 55 cm.
