Original artwork description:

"Underwater Bonding", part of my Waterworks series, is a tribute to those early moments of connection that build a foundation of security, confidence, and joy — and to the unspoken language between mother and child that needs no words to be felt deeply.

Painting this was both a technical and emotional journey. I was fascinated by the challenge of portraying the way light dances through water, how bubbles form, and how hair and skin take on a different life beneath the surface. But more importantly, I wanted to honor the invisible strength of maternal love — how it allows a child to feel safe enough to let go and explore.

This painting was made with oil paints on a gallery-wrapped canvas, which does not require framing, as the sides are painted.
