Tintern Old Station is situated in the Wye Valley in Wales. It is a good place to visit with a cafe and plenty of activities. The view from here is well worth the visit, and inspired this painting. The old signal box on the right hand side is nowadays used as an exhibition centre and shop.
Many years ago the steam trains from Chepstow to Monmouth stopped here at the station to allow visitors to visit Tintern Abbey.
This pastel painting is framed with a narrow light oak wood-effect frame and a white mount.
