Original artwork description:

This painting was inspired by a dream I had, in which I saw myself in a hall filled with a strange light. There were several women there, dressed in old-fashioned gowns. They moved slowly around the hall, and some of them were holding trays. Somehow, I knew they were searching for a lost cup.

I wanted to convey the unusual atmosphere of that dream in the painting — when everything feels real, yet you understand it's a dream.

Perhaps I had this dream because I myself was going through a period of searching — exploring new painterly techniques.
