'The Grassy Bank' is a digital photomontage inspired by the Harbour at Southwold on the Suffolk Coast. The purposeful nature of this working harbour gives way at times to a more easy feel accomodating smaller boats, which scattered at intervals along the riverbank, awaiting maintenance or use. Flowers and grass grow up around them like a cushion and they lay nestled there contentedly under a big sky. This image has been created by layering and juxtaposing up to 40 different original photographic details to create an entirely new scene, which captures a sense of this wild landscape but leaves room for your own imagination.
