I like to paint objects of daily use because they’re a reminder of purpose and belonging. I thought of our ‘getting ready to go’ routines, a joyful, sunny morning with a short walk in mind. In our society we appreciate the objects of comfort. I think it’s worth praising them for they can bring out the best of us.
