Germany is probably not a beach destination for most people. I was very surprised to find white sandy beaches on the northernmost island of Germany. The island of Sylt is an UNESCO site with iconic houses covered with reed thatched roofs that date back hundreds of years and an abundance of wildlife. I was overjoyed to be blessed with great weather and a beach day in Germany was so beautiful. Love those white beach baskets decorated in blue and white stripes, so typical in the area, a wonderful invention for windy days 😊
