Representing the human body has been one of the major themes throughout art history since prehistoric times.
This is one of a series that I am working on depicting females in various poses and showing a variety of expressions. From Di Vinci’s Mona Lisa to Warhol’s Marilyn, more works of art have focused on the female than any other subject, and for good reason. For this particular work, the female form becomes the dominant theme. I have reinforced this theme with muted colors, contrasts and a plain grey background.
When I got started with this project, featuring females, I thought it would be difficult to find women who would pose for me. As it turned out, it was no problem at all.
"Sweet Georgia Brown #2 is a one of a kind, original work of art. This is the second painting that I have done using this model. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on 5 mil Dura-Lar artist mylar film. I have stayed with my usual pallet of warm “earthy” colors.
The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.

I will include a hanging strip and a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall.
